bigpicThe B Team, captained by Rob Dore, with Phil Mason, John Doyle, Tom Stephens, Neil Hobbs, Tony Byrne, Tony Harrison, Steve Morton Lee, Paul Vedmore, Dave Onions, Derek Sims and Pete Stephens played an away match at Lydney on 10 June 2017. Sadly they lost 4 – 2 against a solid Lydney team. Rob said: ‘As usual the team made me proud giving their all on a fairly new course that proved quite a test. The greens were particularly tricky, being very small and resembling a roller coaster track at times. I would like to thank Tom Stephens who stepped in that morning for Luke Purdy who had to drop out through illness - get well soon Luke and I hope this illness had nothing to do with the fact you were going to partner me today! The cock went to Tony Byrne who uses a buggy for his round and proceeded to drive over a tree which jumped out on him!! I think it's only right to point out that Tony drives a taxi for a living!!!!’ The next match is on 8 July at home against Forest of Dean.
