bigpic20 teams of 4 (2 ladies, 2 men) took part in this event on what was one of the hottest days of the year so far. The format was one man and one lady to score on each hole. The first flight was at 9.00am so they were the lucky ones – those going out at midday were sheltering under umbrellas and floppy hats to try and keep cool. Thankfully there was respite at the halfway house where the usual food and drink was supplemented by Pimms, cold beers and cold bottles of water. The Raffle ad Halfway House raised over £400 for Sue Ryder – thanks to everyone who baked, donated prizes and bought raffle tickets. Results: 1st Place : Pauline Pearson, Brenda Blackmore, Patrick Pearson & Chris Morgan (The Monmouthshire) 2nd Place: John Smith (PHGC), Fiona Smith, Ruth Robins, Peter Robins (Cotswold Hills) 3rd Place: Alex Hart, Sally-Anne Kelly, Kevin Wilkins, Mick Kelly (PHGC) Ladies Longest Drive: Jeannie Williams (PHGC) Men’s Longest Drive: Richard Tromans (Ross-on-Wye) Nearest the Pin: Richard Williams (PHGC) Two: Only 1 two – Nick Axten-Rice (PHGC)
